Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays...

YOWZA!!!  December has been a wonderfully crazy month filled with birthdays, parties and fun times with friends!  Now, all of this is also going along the same time I'm ending my school semester, so it's been kinda madness!  But, I will say...I did AWESOME this semester in my classes and I'm very proud of how I finished up!

My friend Joe rented a suite for the Stars game (hockey) and everyone had a blast!

Afterwards, we went out to J. Blacks...

Doing a shot with the birthday boy...

Me with the birthday boy...and yes...he is wearing a shirt that reads "Captain Awesome"...hehe

Then, two of my friends rented out the Foundation Room at House of Blues and celebrated their 30th birthday in MAJOR style!!!  We're talking ice sculptures, photographer, waitresses with champagne and canapes...the whole shebang!  There were about 150 people there and everyone had WAY too much fun!

So...needless to say...I was not only celebrating my many friends' birthdays....but, also the end of finals.  We now have 10 days left in 2010, and I'm looking forward to most of these being spent taking it easy and hanging out with friends and family.

December.....So far....

December started off with a BANG!  I've been spending lots of time going out with my dear friends and having a blast!  Lots of great restaurants and dancing!  (thankfully, my friends appreciate that I am a bit short on cash right now, and they are very generous with their funds...)

Some friends and I went to see "Burlesque" and we all really enjoyed it!  There was AMAZING singing and really fun dancing...and the plot didn't stink! ;)  I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did....

My Boys (aka Dallas Cowboys) are doing better and better!  I'm not a "fair-weather" fan, so I always love them no matter how wonderful or terrible they are playing....but, it's definitely easier to cheer them on fervently when they are playing with full hearts!

Went out for a friend's birthday last week and had a RIDICULOUSLY great time!!

Just a few nights ago, I had a blind date....(another mom-related set-up)  A coworker with my mom has a friend...yada, yada, yada....Needless to say, he was SOOO nice, but there was just no spark.  Oh well...you win some, you lose some.

Then, yesterday, my momma and her friends had a bazaar to sell their hand-knitted scarves, gloves and hats!  They make some REALLY cute stuff!

My mom is on the far right in all black....they had a fun time!

Of course, I snapped a pic of me in front of all the beautiful scarves...haha...

And, now...today...I'm preparing for next week.....Oh, did I not tell you what next week was????

FINALS WEEK!!!

Yep...so, I'll be holed up in my apartment studying until Thursday!!!  Well, I suppose I WILL get out to actually go to my exams...but, other than that...ONLY STUDYING ALLOWED!  I feel really good about all of my classes, but that doesn't mean I can slack off with the last test!

So...wish me luck!

San Francisco, Thanksgiving...Last Half of November....

Around mid-November, I went to San Francisco to visit a friend....I haven't been there since I was 12 years old, so I was excited to not only see my friend, but see the city!

Naturally...VERY excited to see this wonderful site!!!

Standing on Pier 39 in front of Alcatraz....

It was a really fun trip and I'm glad I got to spend some quality girl time with my friend.....

That following week was Thanksgiving!!!  I had several friends that were unable to go home for the holiday, so they joined my family!  It was a FULL house!  And, so much fun!  As always, lots of great food and even better conversation!

(We took some pictures with my mom's camera, but she hasn't downloaded them yet....so, unfortunately...no pics of Thanksgiving...)

First Half of November....

November started off with a wonderful and glorious day to celebrate!  My parent's 35th anniversary!  They are just as in love this year as the first day they met...It really is a beautiful thing to have witnessed my whole life..

Later that week, I volunteered at one of my favorite events of the season...Chi Omega Christmas Market!!!  Being that I AM a Chi Omega, I'm naturally very excited about this....It's a BIG event with all kinds of amazing stuff!  Clothing, jewelry, knick-knacks, paintings, wreaths, toys, just about anything you can think of!

That afternoon, I drove to Austin to visit a friend from college who recently moved there.  Austin is really only about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive from Dallas, so it's an easy "get-away" when you just wanna get out of town.  We had a great weekend catching up and going out...

My good friend Dave...

We went to a benefit gala Casino Night....It was LOTS of fun!!!  They had an amazing dance floor with groovy smoke machines...blackjack tables, poker tables, roulette, craps...You name it, it was there!

It was a fun weekend in Austin....

Then, we celebrated my dad's 60th birthday!!!  I can't believe my pops is 60!
