Over..........

To say that I am "blue" doesn't even begin to describe what I'm feeling......more like.....

dejected, despondent, destroyed, disconsolate, dismal, dispirited, doleful, dolorous, down and out, downhearted, droopy, glum, grim, heavyhearted, in a funk, joyless, lachrymose, low, lugubrious, mirthless, miserable, saddened, somber, trite, unhappy, wet blanket(gotta love that one..hehe), wistful, woebegone, woeful......

What thesaurus??? What are you talking about?? I'm just smart.....sheesh.....

ANYHOO....Why am I feeling this way, you ask?

Well, I just finished the last book in the Twilight series......yes, I'm one of those people....And, if you haven't read them yet, then don't judge.... :P

These books are some of the most (if not THE most) amazing books I've ever read. I felt as if I was a part of the story....as if these people's lives were intertwined with mine, however fantastical and otherworldly they may have been. Not sure how to explain it, but once you pick up the first book, you are extraordinarily captivated.....each fascinating character having a very different and powerful presence. Nothing is as it seems as the plot twists and turns in every way you NEVER imagined.

It's funny actually....I saw the movie "Twilight" when it came out a few months ago before having even heard of the book (yes, I was living under a rock)

My mom began reading it before me, and I could hear the excitement...the utter thrill in her voice when she would regale to me the parts she had read (not allowing too much information, because she knew I was going to read it, too) Needless to say, I dove into the first book immediately and was HOOKED! I just couldn't put it down! And so....the obsession began...

So, back to my "downer" mood...haha.....guess I'll just have to start from the beginning again.....

Back in the swing of things....

FINALLY! I'm getting "back in the swing-o-things"....

I have been neglecting my yoga workouts for the past 3 months...letting the holidays, new jobs, blah, blah, blah get in the way. So, it's time to get my "rear in gear" as the expression goes. I started my routine up once again this week and already feel super! Well....super and MEGA sore.....ouwee......

I have a pretty darn monumental event happening this year and want to be in the best shape of my life! Any guesses what this huge, life-changing, super-dee-duper event might be???

Nothing??

No ideas at all??

Still nothing?????

Oh.....alright....I'll tell you.....

I'M TURNING 30 YEARS OLD!!!!

I know, I know....I can't believe it either......TRULY cannot believe it......So, needless to say, I want to get into the best shape of my life!!! My dear, wonderful friend Tracey is taking us on a vacation to Mexico to celebrate our birthdays (hers is just one month after mine) So, I need to get into "bikini" shape.

Oh, and just an FYI....I refuse to be one of those people who starts using the term "30 years young"..........I mean...it just makes you sound older.....hahaha....

My Super-Spectacular Valentine's Day.....

To say that my Valentine's Day was "nice" would be an understatement.....It was really, truly extraordinary....

My "date" began my Valentine's week by sending me puzzle pieces with hints on them.....hints as to what we were going to do on Valentine's day.....

Then....on Friday (yes...Friday the 13th..hehe), he sent me 3 dozen beautiful dark pink roses....

In Hint #2, I was given an address that I was to meet him at on Saturday at 11......turned out to be a spa.....he treated me to a Spa Day.....massage, mani/pedi...the whole nine.....

Then, that evening.....he picked me up and we had pre-dinner cocktails at the Nana lounge at the Anatole and then headed to dinner at The Oceanaire (where I've been wanting to go forever!)

We finished our evening with a glass of bubbly and some strawberries......

He was a true gentleman and it was a great time......a very special Valentine's to remember....
One for the books, I would say...........
(did you ever wonder what books everyone is talking about when they say that?...hmm....)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY LOVEBUGS!!!

Ahhh.....the wonderful, romantic, blissful day for sweethearts to proclaim their love and affection for one another.......or....for some, a heart-wrenching day to remind us once again....that we're single.....

hehehe....just jokin' folks......I've always loved Valentine's Day...single or not.....gives me a reason to bake!!!! :)

It's so much fun to hear about everyone's plans.....see all of the red and pink......

See all of the beautiful flowers getting delivered......and candies being eaten.....

But, I think my favorite part of all of it is.......

The Lifetime Movie Network's LOVE Weekend!!!!

Car woes....

Anybody out there have a beautiful, new, shiny, perfect little car??

If so.....go ahead and stop reading....this post is NOT for you.....

So, I took my car into the shop today to get it all fixed up nice and new-like....Oh, did I not tell you what happened to my car? Oh...really? I forgot? I didn't mention how someone apparently rammed into my car while it was parked one day, slid their car down the side of mine....and then, drove off without leaving a note of any kind?!? I'm guessing that's what happened anyway....considering that it happened WHILE I WASN'T IN IT!!

Umm...yeah....so, it's now getting all "jazzed" up and I'm driving around a car that makes the Smart Car look like a Lincoln Continental (you know, the one your grandma drives) Seriously folks.....I didn't realize they made cars so tiny. It's a good thing that most of my driving is within a 2 or 3 mile radius of my home......I mean...it hurts my feelings when guys on motorcycles point and laugh as they pass by me... :( Big, mean, loud motorcycles......

So, however old MY car may be....I do still love it...and miss it terribly right now......but, as it stands, "Gizmo" (as I've so aptly named my rent-a-car) will just have to do.....
