Living our lives, day to day, we most likely find ourselves in one comparison or another. We may be comparing our job....our wealth....our body....our spirituality. It's hard for us, as humans, to fully accept what we have and be truly content. But, each time we make these comparisons, we are not showing God much respect. He made us the way we are, and His plan for us is in the works...we may just not have a grip on it yet.
As a woman in today's society, I know the thing I find myself guilty of the most is comparing my body to other women....whether they are in magazines, on tv, or just walking along. I am constantly aware of how "this" should be smaller.....or "this" should be bigger....and so on and so forth. God made us the way we are for a specific reason and although we may not know that reason just yet...we must have faith in it.
Comparing ourselves to others is a hard habit to break, and it's one that I'm always battling.....
I suppose, sometimes, we should just try to step back and look at it from a different perspective. There will always be someone prettier.....someone richer....someone more accomplished....someone smarter...etc....Be happy with who God made YOU to be and serve YOUR purpose as He wants you to.....easier said than done, but the payoff is indescribable...

I struggle against the temptation to compare myself to others as well. It is so hard not to, isn't it? But I always have to tell myself the same thing...that if God wanted me any different, He would have made me that way! We are all fearfully and wonderfully made, exactly how God wants us to be. Good post!
